Is LPG Conversion Worth It

In answer to the question “Is LPG conversion (autogas conversion) worth it?” the response would be “YES”. LPG conversion price is worth it because you still save about 40% on your LPG conversion.

LPG Car Conversion – LPG Vehicle Conversion

Here is a summary of an LPG car conversion (LPG vehicle conversion):
1. LPG car conversion (LPG vehicle conversion) starts with a petrol powered car, powered by an internal combustion engine.
2. An LPG fuel tank is added, fitting in the spare tyre well, as an LPG cylinder in the car boot or under the vehicle.
3. A vaporiser is added to convert the liquid LPG into vapour, unless the LPG car conversion is direct injection.
4. The LPG car conversion fuel intake manifold or injectors is added for the delivery of LPG to the combustion chambers.

Components of 4W-LPG Kit

Reducer

It is a two-stage reducer that reduces the LPG pressure and vaporizes it allowing the regular flow of gas to the engine. The phase of gas is changed from liquid to gas by reducing pressure and absorption of heat from the body of the reducer which is heated by the liquid of the engine cooling circuit. The flow of gas is maintained through the vacuum generated by the engine.

What does an LPG reducer do?

It reduces the pressure of auto-gas, thus changing its state of matter from liquid to vapor, using for that purpose heat from the engine's cooling system.

Multivalve

The multivalve is provided with a manual service valve that allows to stop the outgoing flow during maintenance of the system. Functions related to LPG flow: The multivalve has non-return valves in order to prevent the backflow of LPG towards inlet connections.

The multivalve is equipped with an excess flow valve that, in case of accident or breakage of the outlet pipes, stops the excess outgoing flow of lpg; the multivalve is also provided with a shut-off solenoid valve that allows the lpg flow towards the engine only when the engine is running.

Switch Indicator

The system works by pumping LPG at high pressure from the LPG vehicle tank to the engine inlet manifold via a set of liquid LPG injectors. The injectors spray the liquid LPG into the intake manifold. The fuel vaporizing in the intake manifold cools and increases the density of the intake air

Tank

The tank contains the highly pressurized LPG in liquid form, comes in capacities of 30 to 100 liters. The tank which is an integral part of the whole conversion system must be fitted into the vehicle rear or boot space with metal straps in such a way that it must not shift while the vehicle is in motion. The tank has to be a permanent part of the vehicle.

Solenoid Valve

These devices are positioned between the tank and the regulator and cut off the flow of LPG during petrol operation with the engine switched off. Available in normal and oversize versions both equipped with an interchangeable filter for any impurities they may be in the LPG
